ANGÉ Tile-EZ Shower Pans provide the most comprehensive options for drains than any other manufacturer to insure the best and easiest drain connection is made possible for any installation in a tiled shower application. Tile-EZ Drain Connection Options include both (a) Solvent Weld and (b) Compression.
(a) Solvent Weld (commonly referred as Tile-EZ Glue-In) drains incorporate a round strainer with a proprietary secondary weep system. A PVC Glue-In drain can be used when full access to the plumbing underneath the pan is available for hookup. For installations that have limited or no access (such as a slab installation) to the plumbing for hook up from underneath the pan, a compression connection (see below) should be used. Learn More
PVC Solvent Weld (Glue-In) Tile-EZ Drain is included as the standard drain connection for all Tile-EZ Shower Pans. A PVC Glue-In drain can be used when full access to the plumbing underneath the pan is available for hookup. For installations that have limited or no access (such as a slab installation) to the plumbing for hook up from underneath the pan, a compression connection (see below) should be used. Unless otherwise noted during or requested at time of order, a PVC Glue-in Drain is included with a round chrome strainer.
For residential homes utilizing ABS pipes, an optional ABS Solvent Weld (Glue-In) Tile-EZ Drain is available upon request at a slight up-charge.
(b) Compression drains are available as an optional connection for all Tile-EZ Shower Pans at a slight up-charge. A compression drain should be used where access to the plumbing underneath the pan is limited for hookup using the standard glue-in connection. Tile-EZ compression drains are available in either solid brass or PVC material and incorporate an internal compression gasket for sealing 2-Inch Schedule 40 drain pipe from above the shower pan. Tile-EZ Compression drains in solid brass construction are also available with an optional conversion gasket for installations that require 2-Inch copper pipe. All Tile-EZ Compression Drains are available with either a round or square strainer cover and incorporate a proprietary secondary weep system below the primary drain cover. Learn More
